About NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It is an outcome of the recommendations of the National Policy in Education (1986) which laid special emphasis on upholding the quality of higher education in India.

NAAC's assessment and accreditation is broadly used for understanding the 'Quality Status' of an institution. The process of assessment and accreditation increases awareness of Institutional Objectives and Implementation Strategies, which in turn encourages innovative and modern methods of pedagogy. It also gives institutions a new sense of direction and identity, and provides the society with reliable information on the quality of education offered by the institutions.

IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at KDS College Kuchera was established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The primary aim of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.

The IQAC works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance through various programs and activities. It promotes measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Objectives of IQAC

• To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
• To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
• To ensure timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.
• To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
• To act as a change agent in the institution.
• To build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.
