Scout and Guide Convention Promotes Responsible Citizenship

The first annual convention of the Nagaur District Council of Rajasthan State Bharat Scout and Guide was successfully held in Kuchera. The convention was organized at the Jain Dadabadi in the city, bringing together Scout and Guide officials, educators, and representatives from across the district.
CO Scout Nagaur Ashfaq Panwar presented the annual report for the session 2022-23, which was unanimously approved by the council. Following this, the proposed program for the upcoming year 2023-24 was presented by CO Guide Minakshi Bhati.
Chief District Education Officer and Chief District Commissioner Munshi Khan, while presiding over the convention, emphasized the importance of connecting school students with co-curricular activities to make them responsible citizens of society and the nation. He highlighted that joining Scout and Guide helps children develop confidence, self-reliance, and practical knowledge alongside their academic studies.
The Chief District Education Officer issued directives that Scout and Guide units should be established in all schools across the district. He made it clear that it is the responsibility of each institution's head to form a troop by appointing one male and one female teacher as in-charge.
During the convention, participants also took an oath to vote 100% and encourage others to do the same under the SVEEP campaign being run by the Election Commission of India. The convention concluded with the national anthem, marking a successful beginning for the district council's annual activities.
